Welcome to Colonial Pointe Villa, our vacation home
in South Fort Myers, on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Southwest
Florida. Colonial Pointe is an exclusive, gated community of just 72 single-family homes, surrounding a peaceful lake. The house was a former model home for the neighborhood and is furnished and appointed to the highest standards, with its own private pool. It's within easy reach of all kinds of facility you could need on vacation. Just 10 minutes from the glorious west coast islands of Sanibel and Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach, all with beautiful white-sand beaches and surrounded by great golf courses, and with a wide selection of local shops and restaurants. Fort Myers is a great place for a vacation. You can just chill out on the Island beaches or in the pool if that's your thing. Or if you want things to do, there's everything from fantastic wildlife in its natural habitat or searching for tropical shells, to parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving, and Harley Davidson hire! |

Outside the house You can relax and enjoy the views of the lake and birdlife from the large private pool and deck area, and read, chat or eat in the shade of the lanai with its own fan and outdoor lighting. The pool is large and Italian-style, with underwater lighting. Around it are sunloungers and patio chairs with large patio table under the lanai. Depending on what our most recent guests have left in the house, the range of pool toys can be amazing (our thanks to everyone who does this). Pool cleaning and garden maintenance are provided weekly, and our property maintenance manager and his friendly team offer a personal and comprehensive service to let you enjoy your vacation. Inside The house is fully air-conditioned and offers luxurious and spacious accommodation. All rooms have ceiling fans for those hot Florida days. It is beautifully carpeted and tiled throughout in cool shades. There are 3 separate living areas: 2 indoors (the great room and the den), and the lanai outdoors by the pool. Plenty of space for people to spread themselves out and do their own thing. There is a telephone with free local calls, and you can buy telephone cards from Walgreens for long distance and international calls. There is a video / DVD / CD player and 4 televisions; and for the beach there are chairs, a cool box and ice packs, and sun umbrella. There are smoke alarms throughout. The Great Room The main living area is the Great Room. This beautiful airy room with views across the pool to the lake has as its focus a luxurious seating area with leather sofas and armchair, near a large TV with top-of-the-range DVD / CD player and radio. We have left you a selection of CDs and DVDs that we enjoy. There are also wildlife and tourist guides, maps and a few other novels etc. At the edges of the Great Room are two eating areas, one more informal in a bay window near the kitchen overlooking the lake and pool, the other more formal for those special dinners. Den, study or 4th bedroom; use it as you choose The den has a comfortable seating area and its own TV, DVD & video player. We have left some videos for the kids. If you want to have a connected office away from home, it has a desk for writing or for your laptop. High speed internet access is available at no cost; just bring your laptop. There's a printer too. There's a very comfortable sofa, which converts to a Queen sized sofa bed if you need the extra bedroom. |

Bedrooms The master Bedroom has a King size bed, TV/video, en-suite luxury bathroom including a large walk-in shower (huge by British standards), and closet /wardrobe. There's also a quiet seating area in the bay window overlooking the pool and lake, where you can read or just relax and chill out. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen size double bed, and the 3rd bedroom has twin singles. Each bedroom has its own closet / wardrobe, and they share the second bathroom with bath and shower. The whole of this guest wing can be closed off from the main living areas if you have small children who you want to settle down. Kitchen and Laundry The kitchen is extremely well appointed. It's equipped with every convenience: large fridge freezer with automatic ice dispenser and water filter, double sink with waste disposal, microwave, juicer, large oven, dishwasher and lots more. A washing machine and clothes dryer are provided in the separate laundry room next to the kitchen. Linen & towels All bed linen and towels (bathroom and pool) are provided, and there are hairdryers in both bathrooms. Minimum lease is one week. Less than one week is not permitted by the community. Internet / DSL - just plug in your laptop and surf the web as long as you like. |
